Terms and Conditions for Battersea Man with Van

2.1. Payment Terms

Payments must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.

2.2. Cancellation Policy

If a client needs to cancel a booking, a written notice must be provided. Cancellation fees may apply based on the notice period provided:

  • More than 48 hours before the scheduled service: No fee.
  • 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled service: 50% of the total service cost.
  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled service: 100% of the total service cost.

3. Services Provided

Our Services include the transportation of goods, furniture removal, and other related moving services within the Battersea area and surrounding regions. We ensure that all items are handled with care and transported securely.

3.1. Service Limitations

While we strive to accommodate all client needs, certain limitations may apply:

  • Hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
  • Items requiring special handling may incur additional charges.
  • Access restrictions to certain locations may affect service delivery.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and labeled. It is recommended that fragile items are wrapped securely to prevent damage during transit.

4.1. Liability

While we take utmost care in handling all items, the Service Provider is not liable for any damage caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters.
  • Traffic delays.
  • Theft or loss of items after delivery.

5. Insurance

We offer optional insurance coverage for added protection of your belongings during the move. Clients are encouraged to opt for insurance to mitigate potential risks.

5.1. Claims Procedure

In the event of damage or loss, clients must notify the Service Provider within 48 hours of delivery. A claims form must be completed, and supporting evidence provided to initiate the process.

6. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how data is used, stored, and protected.

6.1. Data Protection

All personal data is stored securely and is only accessible to authorized personnel. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Battersea.

7.1. Amendments

8. Severability

9. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, or government restrictions.

9.1. Notification

In the event of a force majeure situation, the affected party must notify the other party as soon as possible, detailing the nature of the impediment and the expected duration.

10. Waiver

The failure of either party to enforce any right or provision of these Terms and Conditions will not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that right or provision.

10.1. Modification of Services

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of our services at any time without prior notice.

11. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless Battersea Man with Van against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the client's use of our services, except where caused by the Service Provider's negligence or misconduct.

The Service Provider is not responsible for any claims made by third parties against the Client as a result of the services provided.

14. Assignment

Clients may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without the prior written consent of the Service Provider.

These Terms and Conditions are binding upon and will inure to the benefit of the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns.

Any notices required under these Terms and Conditions must be in writing and delivered to the Service Provider's designated address or email.

15.1. Delivery Methods

Notices can be delivered via mail, courier, or electronically. Delivery is considered complete upon receipt through the chosen method.
